The first rule of a photo shoot with Lori Kearney is to have fun! Be yourself! Lori has many years of experience when it comes to setting you at ease and providing an enjoyable and relaxing session. Before you know it, you'll be smiling for the camera with ease and all your inner beauty will come shinning through!
Where you have your photo shoot, whether it be indoors or outdoors, can make a big difference in what you will want to wear. It also makes a difference if you are being photographed alone, or in a group. Feel free to consult with Lori on outfits and props to bring, but in the meantime, here are Some general rules to follow:
For dark backgrounds, stick to black or burgundy. For lighter backgrounds, denims and whites work well. They also work well with most outdoor settings too.
Long sleeves are usually best, as bare arms can distract attention away from the face. Bring a variety of outfits with a variety of your favorite accessories. Be comfortable in what you wear so you can be yourself in the photos.
To avoid any glare, keep jewelry to a minimum. If wearing earrings, keep them small.
If you wear makeup, be careful not to get any spots on your clothes. It is best if you can dress first, and then cover yourself with a cape or towel while applying any makeup. Also, bring your makeup along with you to your shoot for any last minute touch ups.
You may want to fix your hair differently for different poses and backgrounds. If you do, be sure to bring along any combs, brushes, mousse, spray bottle, and any other hair products you may need. If you tie your hair back, use something small that won't be distracting.
